The twin-brother of this massive machine has been working in Stoylensky quarry for over a year by now. There was plenty of time for us to make sure that our decision to cross over to this particular type of drilling rigs was right.

Electric drilling rig. The machine serves to drill technological blast holes in rocks with hardness of 6-18 units according to prof. Protodyakonov scale at open mines.
The drill consists of the crawler-mounting unit, the machine room and the cabin and the mast mounted on it.
Rotary drilling rig SBSH-250D serves to drill blast holes of 200-270mm in diameter in hard highly abrasive ores. Diesel drilling rig is an autonomous machine which economizes the time and expenses on moving the drill to a new place and it can be done totally independent from electric network rewiring. The diesel engine Cummins QSK19 with 650h.p. capacity is notable for its low fuel consumption and efficiency. In-line arrangement of the compressor, the engine and the pumping unit make the servicing of these parts easier. The fuel tank of 2,5 m³ provides a 24-hour non-stop operation of the drill. The traveling of the rig, its leveling, lifting and lowering of the mast, the drill tool feed and its rotation as well as screwing of the rods is performed by the hydraulic drive.
Design documentation has been prepared. The drill is ready for serial production.
The machine serves to drill holes of 200-270mm in diameter in highly abrasive ores. The special aspect of this drill is that its drilling holes of 17,5m deep with one rod that equals the benching height of most rock sections. Thus the productivity of the drill improves greatly due to the fact that there is no necessity for the screwing and unscrewing of the drill tool. This works perfectly well for the soft and medium-hard rocks when the time of drilling often equals the auxiliary operations. To provide continuous feed travel for the long rod, a cable-polyspast feed drive from two drawworks has been used.

Hydroficated rotary drilling rig with an electric drive serves to drill blast holes in rocks with hardness from 6 to 18 units according to prof. Protodyakonov scale at open mines as well as to drill deviated contour holes.
The drilling rig combined all the main design concepts proven-in-use for many years on Rudgormash drills like RD-10 and SBSH-250MNA-32 in:
-rated output non-inferior to the foreign drills;
- reliability due to the high quality of its completing parts and technologies;
- economy of exploitation especially in post guarantee period.
